Virginia's 2018 primary election is this Tuesday, June 12.
People who live in the 7th District will choose a Democrat to face Republican Congressman Dave Brat.
This office is now held by Scott Taylor of Virginia Beach.
While en route back from the summit with North Korea in Singapore, Trump took to Twitter to endorse SC state Rep. Katie Arrington (R) in Tuesday's primary against Sanford, before saying he'd be "better off in Argentina", a snide reference to Sanford's affair with an Argentinian woman that drove him from the governor's office after his staff falsely claimed he was hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Helmer said he would support impeaching Trump without hesitation, accusing him of violating the emoluments clause of the Constitution and obstruction of justice by firing former FBI Director James Comey.
Comstock is expected to prevail over Hill in her primary, but will then face one of six Democrats who are running in their own Tuesday primary. Comstock has represented the district since 2015 after she served in the Virginia House of Delegates for four years.
This office is now held by Donald McEachin. One seat they're targeting is in Nevada. Heller, 58, who holds the most vulnerable of the nine GOP-held seats on the ballot in 2018, won a reprieve from a contested GOP primary when Trump successfully urged announced rival Republican Danny Tarkanian to drop out of the Senate race and run for a House seat instead. Corey Stewart, a combative conservative who almost upset Ed Gillespie for the party's gubernatorial nomination past year, will square off against state House of Delegates member Nick Freitas and pastor E.W. Jackson. State Del. Nick Freitas is the most "establishment" GOP pick, but even he has made controversial comments about school shootings.
In the Second Congressional District, incumbent Republican Rep. Scott Taylor will face the victor of the Democratic primary between former U.S. Navy commander Elaine Luria and schoolteacher Karen Mallard.

State Senator Jennifer Wexton, the apparent frontrunner and only state officeholder in the primary, was motivated to take on Trump after seeing increased turnout at her town halls after Trump took office. It lets voters rank candidates by preference rather than choosing just one. Who did you vote for and why? But if not, the lowest vote-getter is eliminated and their votes reallocated until one contender gains a majority.
How come? Because they've already cast their ballots ...
