General Motors unveiled the new Chevrolet Blazer Thursday in Atlanta. This larger mill delivers 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, and regardless of the engine chosen, all 2019 Blazers come with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Minutes after GM announced that the Blazer would be making a comeback in the 2019 model year, the labor union issued a statement blasting the plan to build the new Blazer at the Ramos Arizpe factory in Mexico.
The new Blazer is expected to show up at Chevy dealerships sometime in early 2019.
Tire/wheel packages will be in 18- through 21-inch rim diameters. All-wheel-drive models receive Traction Select that allows for only the front wheels to receive power when AWD isn't necessary. The Blazer RS will have blacked-out trim, while the top-grade Premier model will feature chrome brightwork.
The 2019 Blazer is no K5. Optionally, customers can get a twin-clutch all-wheel-drive setup. Chevy says that should be more stable in the dry but also more capable in wet or icy conditions.

Enrique Caceres selected to officiate Iran vs Portugal
Russian Federation and Uruguay are through and all that is left to decide is who will top the group when they meet on Monday. A draw would also send them through, though winning the group would depend on Switzerland's result against Costa Rica.
Herpes May Play a Role in the Development of Alzheimers
Sam Gandy , a professor of neurology and psychiatry and director of the Center for Cognitive Health at Mount Sinai in NY . HHV-6A and HHV-7 are actually very common herpes strains that nearly everyone over 6 years old has at least one of them.
Rumours of a new Blazer being in the works have been confirmed with the debut of the 2019 Chevy Blazer today in Atlanta. Chevy claims the Blazer will tow up to 4,500 pounds when properly equipped, which is fairly competitive for a vehicle in this class, but less than the Chevy Traverse's 5,000-pound maximum tow rating.
Drivers will also be able to roll down the windows using the key fob, and fire up the (likely optional) heated steering wheel and heated/ventilated seats when remote engine start is engaged. Heated outboard rear seats will be offered on the Blazer RS and standard on the Blazer Premier. An 8-inch touchscreen with Chevrolet Infotainment 3 software is standard, along with 4G LTE WiFi, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Adaptive cruise and a rear camera mirror are also available, but only on RS- and Premier-trimmed Blazers. Wireless phone charging and up to six USB ports will be available too, to keep everyone and their devices content. A panoramic dual-pane power sunroof will be optional. The two-row midsize SUV will offer 64.2 cubic feet of max cargo space with the back row folded flat. It includes a rail framework and freight fence to help separate the back payload territory to better anchor littler things.
And had a hunch the styling would be a huge departure from what we'd expect, considering we haven't heard the Blazer nameplate since 2005, and that GM is on a tear completely revamping their SUV and crossover lineup with sleeker-looking, tech-focused offerings.
"It looks commanding on the road, while fulfilling the promise of versatility at the heart of every Chevy crossover and SUV", says John Cafaro, executive director, Global Chevrolet Design.
