Director James Wan also reveals that his movie is nothing like any other DC offering. In addition to Black Manta, Nicole Kidman's Queen Atlanna is shown off for the first time. "This is a whole new underwater world nobody has seen before in live action". With news coming recently that a trailer for the film is imminent, today we get word from Warner Bros. executives Toby Emmerich and Geoff Johns (though Johns will soon be leaving the company).
The film's storyline takes place in the wake of Justice League in which Arthur Curry/Aquaman, the half-human half-Atlantean ruler of Atlantis, reluctantly assumes the underwater kingdom's throne. The storyline features Aquaman going up against his half-brother, King Orm (Patrick Wilson) over control of Atlantis. The visual effects shots coming in are just lovely.
