Trover Saves the Universe is now in development for PlayStation VR and releasing sometime in early 2019. Developed by Squanch Games, which was founded in 2016 by Justin Roiland, the game is supported by both PS4 and PSVR.

During Sony's E3 2018 press conference, developer Squanch Games (from Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland) revealed the new title on stage during the press conference, which will appear to be coming to PS4 and PlayStation VR. Roiland doesn't exactly seem like he's masking his Morty voice here, so if you squint your eyes you could probably convince yourself that you're watching a particularly interactive version of the show. While details surrounding gameplay are sparse, it will be out early 2019. As Trover, you need to save the universe and rescue your dogs from some guy who... kidnapped them and stuffed them in his eyeholes? In terms of a plot, the game's official website explains that your dogs have been kidnapped as a part of a grander scheme to destroy the Universe (as most villains plan to). "Does that make sense?"
