As you'd expect, Bethesda promised a more powerful Doomslayer, more demons (twice as many!) and a whole lot of violence. That's the same event where Doom was shown-off behind closed doors some years ago, so feels like the natural base for the game. If you remember, it ended with something of a betrayal, though we won't ruin that for you if you haven't enjoyed the game yet. Rebooted back in 2016, DOOM was a chaotic, bloody game that embraced its original roots.
Following the trailer, id Software developers took the stage at E3 to share some more information about the game.

On Sunday night, Bethesda surprised the crowd at their annual E3 press conference with a surprise reveal of Doom Eternal, a sequel to 2016's critically acclaimed Doom. At least there's only about a two month wait until we get more info. Witness the worldwide unveiling of DOOM Eternal gameplay at QuakeCon 2018 in Dallas, Texas on August 10th! There we are also hoping to learn about the release date as well, which is now unknown.
Doom Eternal is in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC. We'll update with more info - including which systems it'll be on - once we have it.
