Emergency crews were called to the scene, and one of the dogs charged at them; deputies fatally shot that dog.
The sheriff says the remaining dogs were euthanized at the owner's request.
The dogs were then sent to the Ardmore Animal Shelter.
Vets at the animal shelter that carried out the euthanisations told United States media none had legs longer than an adult human hand or weighed more than 18kg.
'This is a bad situation, a very unfortunate situation, ' Sheriff Bryant said, as reported by KTEN.
'Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victims.
Some reports have suggested that dachshunds were behind Thursday's deadly attack.
Six appeared to be mixed with an unidentified breed of terrier, and the largest could have been a border collie cross, but all the animals weighed less than 40lb and none were taller than knee-height.
