Authorities in Santa Fe, TX, have responded to a reported active school shooter situation at Santa Fe High School.
Aerial video from the scene showed several police officers outside the school. "The district has initiated a lockdown", it said on its website.
Another sophomore, named only as Nikki, told ABC13 that: "Someone had walked in with a shotgun and a girl got shot in her leg".
A shooting was reported at a high school near Houston on Friday morning, with local media reporting that a gunman entered Santa Fe High School and began firing. They're promising to release more information as soon as possible. Douglas Hudson says units are responding to reports of shots fired.
At least one life flight helicopter was on the scene, according to The Houston Chronicle.

The report about the shooting came in just before 8 a.m. Friday from the school located about 30 miles southeast of Houston. Santa Fe police swept the campus but found no threat.
