Russia, Turkey and Iran will hold regular consultations with United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura on launching a constitutional committee, according to a joint statement adopted by Russia, Turkey and Iran at the 9th global meeting on Syria, held in Astana on May 14-15.
The guarantor states brokered a cease-fire in Syria in December 2016.
In the past, the United States sent a delegation to the talks.
"The Astana process is stuck right now", General Netkachev told the newspaper, "because Damascus and Moscow, with the participation of Turkey and Iran, control only about 60% of Syria's territory", reported TASS.
