Blizzard can celebrate more than just Overwatch's anniversary this week.
Overwatch 's Anniversary Event begins May 22, and fans are hungry for every scoop they can get about 2018's Legendary Skins and other cosmetics they'll be able to earn during the celebration. While Blizzard has already announced the start date of this year's anniversary festivities, Overwatch Game Director Jeff Kaplan offered a few more details on Wednesday afternoon regarding what exactly the anniversary would entail.
"Petra is handsome", Kaplan said during Wednesday's Developer Update video. We think you'll find that very fun. They're for some of our favorite Heroes. The game will also be free-to-play from May 25 through May 28. He stated that an oft-requested "dapper-looking gentleman" in "formal wear" would appear, which most likely means that Doomfist is getting his tuxedo skin from this Overwatch comic. "He will be coming to this Anniversary Event".
Beginning on May 22nd, a large event will take place to celebrate Overwatch's two year anniversary.
Beyond that tease, much of the Developer Update recaps content mentioned in Monday's blog post.

All things considered, with Overwatch's community growing more so by the day, it's obvious that there may be some players out there who are still learning the ropes as to how one should best approach the title.
