A father was arrested after his 1-year-old son was found lying face down and naked in an OR forest.
Deputies say Brandon M. Blouin had told them that he, an 18-year-old female, and their 1-year-old son, Bradley, had been staying in a vehicle in the forest when the female walked away from the vehicle, leaving Blouin and the child alone. Blouin waited for her to return but when she didn't went looking for her.
Blouin said the woman walked away from the vehicle, leaving him and the little boy alone.
At some point, he set the child down and left him.
Police believe Blouin was under the influence of a controlled substance when he put the baby down on the ground.

DSCO said that's when they deployed numerous resources in a "race against time" to find Bradley.
The sheriff's office started a search for the child with horseback searchers, drones and helicopters with thermal image sensors. The boy was found almost six hours later with help from several surrounding police agencies laying naked in the dirt approximately one mile from the family's vehicle.
Bradley was treated by medical personnel on scene.
Blouin was arrested on charges of criminal mistreatment, child neglect, endangering the welfare of a minor and assault. The assault charge stems from an injury that Bradley allegedly suffered while in his father's care. New or lightly-used essentials like toys, clothes and blankets can be dropped off at DSCO's main office in Bend.
