Activision held its big reveal event for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 yesterday, and this year's installment of Call of Duty looks to be changing things up big time. Finally, Blood of the Dead will continue the Aether story from the previous Call of Duty zombie modes. It will be the first game in the series to not feature a single player campaign, with the developer instead adding narrative elements to the other modes in the game. The feature that surprised people the most was the all-new Blackout mode which is a battle royale. Games like Fortnite Battle Royale and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds have made their names because of their significant scale and the opportunity for incredible, emergent moments with that many players.
This scale is especially important given that the classic multiplayer experience in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is downsizing its player counts this year. Many will be glad to see that continue in Black Ops 4, so fingers crossed Treyarch will shed more light on these women in the run-upto the game's release.
The Call of Duty franchise has a long history of including playable women, most recently with Call of Duty: WW2's female soldiers in multiplayer and the female resistance fighter in the game's campaign.
Amazon, Google lead global smart speaker sale, Apple stands fourth
With the new smart speaker from Samsung due to land in August of this year, Amazon's market share may suffer further knocks. Google sold 2.4m Home devices, giving it a 26.5 per cent market share in growing from just 0.3m shipments the year prior.
Jets vs. Golden Knights: Game 4 prediction
Another key in this game will be who has the ability to score first. "Vegas is getting more comfortable". The total is 5½ (Over minus 115), and the Knights are plus 220 on the puck line.
Steam Link beta for Android brings your game collection to your mobile
Users with less powerful hardware should be getting 1080p at 60fps with good quality for the games they decide to play. While mobile devices streamed well enough for me, the Apple TV with an Ethernet cable plugged in was immaculate.
From the looks of it, Fornite might have a worthy rival now that Black Ops 4 is coming. New weapons, maps and modes, as well as the return of the Pick 10 system, have been confirmed, alongside "innovations in weapon controls, combat flow, health regeneration, and player movement". The trailer for the game mode promises gamers that Blackout will be the "battle royale, the Black Ops way", featuring Call of Duty's signature first-person-shooter mechanics and aesthetic.
Although Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 isn't slated to be released until October 2018, Fortnite and PUBG's developers should start to worry about losing their gamer base. Play as fan favorite characters and battle through iconic settings from the Black Ops universe.
Additionally, players will be able to fight underwater in Black Ops 4.
