Xiaomi might be popular with its smartphones, but it also has an in-house IoT ecosystem thanks to the booming startup industry in China. Now it's looking to partnerships to take it internationally. For the smart bulbs, they too offer 16 million colors, and with Assistant support, you'll be turning on and off your lights without ever having to get up off the couch.
Xiaomi is looking to expand its smart home offerings internationally by jumping into the USA market, beginning with three products. With this goal in mind, Xiaomi announced during Google I/O 2018 that our smart home products will now work with the Google Assistant, allowing users to control products through a smart speaker, like the Google Home, or with the Google Assistant app.
Atlanta Hawks officially hire Lloyd Pierce as their next head coach
The Hawks went 24-58 this season, which was worst in the Eastern Conference and tied with Dallas for the NBA's third-worst record. After spending time with ownership, it's clear they have a deep investment in and commitment to making this a model organization.
Giants Waive Week 1 Starter Paul Perkins
He had 153 carries for 546 yards with a long run of 22 yards; and 23 receptions for 208 yards, with a long catch of 67 yards. Saquon Barkley is officially listed as a running back, but the New York Giants rookie views himself as much more than that.
Rockets are the toughest playoff opponent Steve Kerr's Warriors have ever faced
The Warriors went 1-2 against the Rockets in the regular season, but neither team was ever at their full roster in the games. LeBron has gone on an absolute postseason tear, shooting.553 and averaging 34.3 points per game.
Actions on Google will also be able to tap into Android's new App Actions, so you can ask Assistant to do something directly inside a specific app. Account linking with Google is also coming, so is support for digital content subscriptions so you can enjoy your paid content inside Assistant or on your speakers/TVs/displays. The products which would be among the first set of Mi-branded smart home products that will be available in the U.S starting from this May include the Mi Bedside Lamp, Mi LED Smart Bulb and Mi Smart Plug. But what if you're happy with your bulbs or what to turn some of your other "dumb" appliances smart?
The Bedside Lamp will be available in May while the other two will be available after that. You can also use voice commands to adjust the brightness and color temperature. This smart Wi-Fi plug allows users to turn power on and off using an app or by simply asking the Google Assistant and enables consumers to issue a voice command to their favorite "non-smart" gadgets. There's now no pricing, but seeing as Xiaomi typically prices its products in the affordable range, we'd bet it'l do the same here.
